_MG_7763-2-EditarAperam BioEnergia arrived at the Jequitinhonha Valley in the seventies, following the environmental legislation in effect at that time.

Its eucalypt forests are currently capable of producing 220,000 tons of charcoal per year, generating more than 1,200 direct jobs. They are located within the municipalities of Capelinha, Itamarandiba, Veredinha, Turmalina and Minas Novas.

The company optimizes the utilization of its forest assets, prioritizing the Aperam South America Steel Plant, and performs health, safety, environmental and sustainable development-oriented actions.

The Aperam BioEnergia headquarters are located in Timóteo and its Executive Board of Directors is composed by Jaime Gasparini (President-Director) and Paulo Sadi Silochi (Director of Operations).
