The EMS systematizes best practices that have been tested, deployed and perfected by the Company throughout its history. It represents a \u201ccompass\u201d which guides Aperam <span style=\"color: #222222;\">BioEnergia\u00a0<\/span>in its relationship with nature and surrounding communities, minimizing all types of environmental impacts.<\/p>\n<p>In order to attain this certificate, Aperam <span style=\"color: #222222;\">BioEnergia\u00a0<\/span>trained its employees and established work rules and standards during 2006. In December, the Company was visited by auditors of the Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) \u2013 a certification organ which evaluates management models.<\/p>\n<p>The audit analyzed requirements such as: adherence to the environmental legislation; updated diagnostics of environmental aspects and impacts of Company activities; procedures, standards and action plans adopted by Aperam <span style=\"color: #222222;\">BioEnergia\u00a0<\/span>in order to eliminate or reduce environmental impacts; and the propagation of management principles among Company employees, collaborators and suppliers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In March, 2010, Aperam BioEnergia\u00a0received its ISO 14001:2004 Certificate.
